I can’t ever decide how much to share about the financial side of things…. But let’s face it, adoption is expensive, we would love to have the money sitting in the bank to pay for it, but we’ve been called to act NOW, not to sit around and wait for our debts to be 100% paid off, not to WAIT, but to ACT and NOW… so we must rely on God to provide miracles, that’s the only way it will happen. We will continue to save, and pay debts down, but the first few payments are going to come in fast to get our homestudy etc completed…
Sooooo on Oct 1, 2011 we began fundraising for this crazy adventure called adoption! I put up ads for a horse I have for sale and listed my first 2 items on ebay…
Horse for Sale – 3 year old Connemara/Arabian cross. Looks to mature 15+hands. Chestnut, long beatiful neck, very very flashy mover. Probably will not make a beginner’s horse but has a sound mind. $5,000 (make commision if you get him sold for us)
Camper for sale – (well we won’t all fit in it anyway) – 1991 Coleman Arcadia – AC needs repaired, possibly just charged, possilby replaced which runs about $450 – King bed, Full bed, small bed where table/seat is, sink, stove top, attachable outside gas grill, shower, lots of storage. This camper is older, no “potty” but I believe one could be added where the shower is now, but it’s in decent shape and is simple and roomy. $1,200
Yard sale Oct 22, 2011 at 202 Daisy Street Harrodsburg, KY – Books, Kid’s clothes, toys, knickknacks, exercise equipment, kitchen items
We WILL accept any donations people want to give: items to sell, direct donations, etc PayPal at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks, and most importantly, pray for us: that our emotions stay in check during this process, that we communicate with each other in a way that is not hurtful, that we are led to the opportunities that God has in mind for us, and whatever God places on your heart to pray about!
And any ideas we will be happy to hear them!!!! Programs you know about, fundraising you’ve done or heard of, etc, etc, etc!!!!
Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act.
